When a Midwest manufacturer of metal shopping carts needed reliable level measurement of their wastewater holding tanks, they turned to Flowline. Hot and ambient waste streams are reclaimed into outdoor tanks awaiting treatment and reuse. There the operators noticed that when hot waste entered the tanks on cold days, their previous ultrasonic level sensors would become unstable. Further inspection revealed that the condensing liquid vapor was forming acoustic signal attenuating water droplets on the sensor transducers.
