When Columbia St. Mary’s hospital in Wisconsin needed reliable level measurement of their waste grease storage tank, they turned to Flowline. The cafeteria serves up to 2k meals per day, and rows of deep fryers are in constant use. Every ten days, the dirty waste oil and particulates are emptied into portable carts and transferred to their holding tank, awaiting removal via pumper truck. There kitchen operators experienced overflows, when the foam attenuated past ultrasonic level sensors, or when grease clogged their pressure level sensors. For these reasons, Flowline suggested the use of our non-contact radar sensors that are unaffected by foam, grease or particulates. The radar sensor provides continuous level data to the SCADA that monitors the grease tank and alarms for disposal. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
