When an Arizona municipality needed reliable level measurement of their sodium hypochlorite tank, they turned to Flowline. Adjacent to the local reservoir, the pump station transfers drinking water into the distribution system. During which, bleach is steadily dosed into each transfer for continued disinfection. Sodium hypochlorite is corrosive and vaporous, especially when agitated or under higher temperatures. The operators complained that past ultrasonic level sensors became intermittent during summer or when the tank was being filled. For this reason, Flowline suggested our radar sensors that are unaffected by vapor or agitation. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the SCADA system, which monitors the tank and alarms for chemical replenishment. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
