Steel Acid Wastewater Tank Ultrasonic Level Measurement

Steel Acid Wastewater Tank Ultrasonic Level Transmitter

When a Midwest steel company needed reliable level measurement of their acid wastewater tanks, they turned to Flowline. After forming, the company passes the steel through a heated dip tank of nitric acid to remove surface contaminants prior to spray washing and final coiling. The resulting wastewater drains from the process into below grade storage tanks awaiting treatment and disposal. There the operator needed to replace hydrostatic pressure sensors that failed due to corrosion and clogging. For this reason, Flowline suggested our reflective ultrasonic level sensors that are non-contact, highly corrosion-resistant and unaffected by the temperature driven condensation. The ultrasonic sensors provide reliable level data to the PLC, which monitors the tanks and controls the treatment process. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
