Reverse Osmosis Day Tank Radar Level Transmitter

When a water treatment solutions provider needed reliable level measurement of their ultrapure water tank, they turned to Flowline. During start-up, they experienced erratic performance from an ultrasonic level sensor that seemed to occur whenever the fill pump was on. Inspection revealed that the sensor mounting port was located next to the fill pipe, and it created significant turbulence under the sensor. Neither the pipe or the sensor could be moved cost effectively, and extending the pipe to the bottom of the tank would violate ultrapure design. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our 80-GHz radar sensors whose measurement is very robust and ideal for turbulent applications including mixing. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the PLC which monitors the day tank and controls its refill. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
