When an East Coast supplier of tank monitoring solutions, needed reliable level measurement of their customers sodium hypochlorite tanks, they turned to Flowline. The end user, a water treatment plant, injects bleach into their process through two tanks that are periodically refilled from their client, a chemical distributor. Sodium hypochlorite is both corrosive and vaporous, especially during the hot summer months. The telemetry engineer stressed the importance of level sensor reliability, corrosion resistance and ease of installation as both tanks are in constant use. For these reasons, Flowline suggested our non-contact 80-GHz radar sensorsthat are unaffected by vapor or foam, and robustly constructed of PVDF. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the RTU which monitors the tanks and transmits level data and alarms for replenishment. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
