When an Oregon semiconductor manufacturer needed reliable level measurement of their reverse osmosis water day tanks, they turned to Flowline. The company uses ultrapure water to remove trace impurities such as particulates or compounds from their manufacturing process that would otherwise cause defects. The IC&E supervisor identified that past ultrasonic sensors would periodically spike due to acoustic amplification, as the sensors were installed in the center of dome tops. He wanted a reliable, non-contact PVDF level sensor that could be installed in the same fittings. For this reason, Flowline suggested our 80-GHz radar sensors whose non-contact measurement is unaffected by non-metallic tank shapes or structures. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the controller that powers the sensor, indicates level in percent, and repeats the signal to the PLC which controls tank refill. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
