When a US piping systems manufacturer needed reliable level measurement of their wastewater pH neutralization tanks, they turned to Flowline. The company produces HDPE piping for stormwater applications. The pipes are water cooled as they pass through the extruder, and residual hot wastewater is periodically pumped to mix tanks for neutralization with phosphoric acid. There plant engineers had ongoing problems with a different ultrasonic level sensor brand, due to condensation forming on the transducer, which attenuated the acoustic signal.
