When a Southern California stormwater monitoring group needed reliable level measurement of urban canals, they turned to Flowline. The Los Angeles basin is the most hydrologically altered land mass on the planet, where the meadow fed aquifers are covered in concrete, and the diverted stormwater flows into the ocean. Under state grant, the group is chartered with modeling stormwater run-off and developing strategies for retention. The staff had experienced intermittency from exposed ultrasonic level sensors during high wind or rain events. For this reason, Flowline suggested our radar sensors that are unaffected by wind, rain or snow, and are ideal for environmental monitoring applications. The radar sensor provides reliable level data to the telemetry unit, and the wall mounted display provides level indication. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
