Chemical Storage Tank Ultrasonic Level Measurement

When a Wisconsin paper mill needed reliable level measurement of their chemical bulk storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. The process outputs large waste streams that require continual neutralization with sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide. In higher concentrations both chemicals are corrosive, but caustic soda presents the additional challenge of crystalizing, coating and caking anything that it contacts. The operator required one level sensor that can be reliably used with both chemicals, and level controllers with alarms at each fill station. For this reason, Flowline suggested our non-contact ultrasonic sensor and controller package. The ultrasonic sensors provide reliable data to the controllers which display the chemical height, and alarm for refill and spill prevention. Flowline is reliable level measurement.
