When an Ohio precast concrete manufacturing company needed reliable level measurement of their wastewater collection tanks, they turned to Flowline. The firm makes molded catch basins, curb inlets, water meter and utility vaults for city clients throughout the Midwest. Concrete is made, poured into forms, dried, released and stacked for shipment. At the end of each batch, the equipment, forms and shop floor are washed, and the waste is transferred to a collection tank for treatment. There the operators complained that past ultrasonic level sensors were unreliable due to agitation, foam and material build up resulting from splashing. For this reason, Flowline suggested the use of our radar sensors that are unaffected by agitation, surface foam or build up on the antenna. The radar sensor provides continuous level data to the indicator and PLC, which controls waste transfer and treatment. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
