When a Texas petrochemical manufacturer needed reliable level measurement of their reactor waste streams, they turned to Flowline. The company produces rubber, plastic and resin polymers that are applied in industrial and consumer products. The hazardous reactor tanks generate corrosive wastewater, laced with spent acids, particulates, steam and condensation. At the end of each batch cycle, the residual contents are transferred to a bulk storage tank for neutralization. There plant operators were dissatisfied with a different radar level sensor brand, that performed intermittently during peak condensation, and failed after nine months due to corrosion. For this reason, Flowline suggested the use of reliable radar sensors with rugged condensation shedding PTFE antennas. The radar sensors provide continuous level data to the SCADA system, which monitors the levels and controls the process. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
