Solids Level Sensor
The 80-GHz radar solids level sensor provides reliable level measurement of silo, bin, stockpile, crusher or transfer station applications with grain, pellet, powder or aggregate solids. What is a 80-GHz radar solids level sensor and how does it work? The non-contact solids level sensor emits an 80-GHz frequency modulated continuous wave RF signal from its antenna. The 80-GHz signal travels through the air gap, reflects against the solids dielectric media below and returns to the antenna. The 80-GHz radar solids level sensor determines the reflection signal time of flight and converts this into level height, distance or volume. 80-GHz radar solids level sensors are the most reliable non-contact level sensors as their robust measurement technology is unaffected by most changes in the application media, process or environment.
