When a California vineyard needed reliable level measurement of their water storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. Ground water conservancy and irrigation efficiency are big challenges for drought ravaged farmers and automation is the answer. The farm has three wells, four hillside tanks that are manifolded together and sixteen drip irrigation blocks controlled by wireless SCADA. The tanks gravity feed through valves to irrigate the blocks. The water is quite hard, and the vineyard manager complained that the previous float level transmitter would seize due to scaling buildup and caused several overflows. For this reason, Flowline our non-contact ultrasonic sensors that are unaffected by water hardness and ideal for storage tanks. The ultrasonic sensor provides reliable level data to the SCADA system, which monitors the tanks and controls the well pumps. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
