When a Midwest equipment manufacturer needed reliable level measurement of their wastewater storage tanks, they turned to Flowline. The firm makes playground equipment for parks, schools and recreational centers. While the completed products are pristine, their plastic, fiberglass and metal fabrication and coating processes are dirty. Each creates significant waste that’s pumped to nearby storage tanks prior to waste treatment. There the operator said that previous ultrasonic level sensors became intermittent whenever foam or floating particulates were pumped from certain processes and they needed reliable measurement. For this reason, Flowline suggested our 80-GHz radar sensors that are unaffected by surface foam and particulates commonly found in wastewater. The radar sensors provide reliable level data to the PLC which monitors the tanks and pumps the waste. Flowline is reliable level measurement. |
